Survivor, directed by Seifollah Dad, will be screened in Atlantic Cinema of Warsaw, on Tuesday, 17th December at 18:00. It's open to Public and free admission. The “Survivor” (in Persian: باقیمانده , in Arabic: المتقبی ) is a historical drama made by an Iranian director and casted by Syrian actors, based on Returning to Haifa, a novel by the Palestinian author Ghassan Kanafani, about invasion of Palestine by Zionist regime in 1948. The film is in Arabic with English and Polish subtitle. Survivor centers on a Palestinian couple who return to the war-torn city to search for their young son Farhan, whom they were forced to abandon when fleeing Zionist acts of terrorism in 1948. Saeed and Atefeh's own house has even been taken over by a Jewish family, who are holding Farhan hostage. It is up to the couple, with the assistance of Farhan's steely grandmother, to find a way to reclaim their lost son.
