In this meeting, while reviewing the memories of his time in the city of Isfahan, Mr. Czapski said that he is always grateful for the hospitality of Iranian who welcomed the 121,000 Polish citizens after being exiled from their homeland with open arms.

Władysław Czapski was among the Polish refugees in the city of Isfahan in 1942 with his mother and sister when he was only 6 years old.

Hossein Gharibi also pointed out that when hosted Polish refugees, Iranian themselves were in a dire situation due to the invasion of foreigners during the II World. Nevertheless, they have always proved that they do not hesitate to help the people of other countries of different ethnicities or religions, whenever they need it.
