Phone conversation between the Foreign Ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Poland

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Radoslaw Sikorski, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Poland, discussed and exchanged views on bilateral relations and regional and international issues in a phone call on Wednesday.

 

Iran's Foreign Minister, congratulating Poland on its rotating presidency of the European Union, expressed hope for constructive interaction between Iran and the European Union during the Polish presidency.

 

Referring to the ongoing talks between Iran and three European countries, Araghchi stated that Iran has always adhered to an approach based on dialogue and interaction to resolve issues, and at the same time, is fully prepared for all conditions.

 

Referring to the 550-year history of diplomatic relations and the almost 100-year history of the Treaty of Amity between Iran and Poland, the Polish Foreign Minister described the relations between the two countries as friendly and expressed hope for resolving issues between Iran and the European Union, including the nuclear issue.
