Irans Ambassador met with the President of Polands Institute of National Remembrance (IPN)
Hossein Gharibi, Iran's ambassador in Warsaw, met Karol Nawroski, head of the of Poland's Institute of National Remembrance, in his office on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
In this meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of keeping alive the memory of Iranian hospitality to more than 120,000 Polish refugees during World War II as a cornerstone of the historical relations between the two countries. They also reviewed the most significant programs that have been organized in the past in cooperation with the Iranian Embassy in Warsaw and the Institute of National Remembrance in this regard.
Iran's Ambassador and the president of Poland's Institute of National Remembrance also exchanged opinions about holding other joint events in the future. Some of the programs that were agreed to be included in the agenda of the two parties are translation of three books recently published by the Institute about Polish refugees from Polish to Persian, holding a photo exhibition using a selection of photos from the archives of the Embassy and the Institute, in Iran and Poland, as well as holding live music by Polish and Iranian artists in the upcoming celebration of Iran's National Day in Warsaw.
