Meeting of the Iranian Ambassador with the Dean of the Faculty of Asian and African Cultures at the University of Warsaw

 

Dr. Issa Kameli, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Warsaw, met and held talks with Professor Barria Staszynska, Dean of the Faculty of Asian and African Cultures at the University of Warsaw.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on ways to expand scientific, cultural, and academic cooperation between Iran and Poland, especially in the field of Iranian Studies (Iranology) and the expansion of the Persian language. Strengthening communication between the academic centers of the two countries, facilitating the exchange of professors and students, and holding joint cultural and scientific events were emphasized.

The Iranian Ambassador, during this meeting which was held in the presence of Dr. Michalak, Deputy Head of the Iranian Studies Department of the Faculty, referred to the history of Iranian Studies activities at the University of Warsaw, and emphasized the importance of reinforcing and developing this field and supporting its activities, expressing hope that such interactions would significantly contribute to a deeper understanding of Iranian culture and civilization in Poland.
